We’re building a personal AI workstation—on an ancient laptop running open-source language models locally, independent of cloud services or subscriptions—with Claude serving as tutor to transfer the coding and systems knowledge necessary to build, operate, and maintain it. The goal is autonomy: extracting capability from the current window of accessible, affordable AI tools before the bubble bursts and economics shift, then owning infrastructure that can analyze documents, write code, organize files, and support whatever work matters—whether personal productivity, professional applications, or movement coordination—without dependency on any company’s survival, pricing decisions, or terms of service.
